What Does Medicare Insurance Cover?
Medicare isn’t one-size-fits-all. Here's a breakdown of your core options:
What Does Life Insurance Cover?
Life insurance is more than a payout—it’s a plan that ensures your family’s future stays on track, even if you’re no longer there to lead it. From mortgage protection to legacy planning, the right policy offers financial security and peace of mind.

Types of Life Insurance We Offer:
Term Life Insurance
Affordable, time-limited protection designed to cover your family during key years—like raising children or paying off your home.
Whole Life Insurance
Lifelong coverage that builds cash value over time. A great option for estate planning, final expense coverage, or long-term savings.
Universal Life Insurance
Flexible protection that combines lifelong coverage with adjustable premiums and a savings component.
Final Expense Insurance
A simple, affordable way to ensure funeral costs and other end-of-life expenses are covered—so your family isn’t left with unexpected bills.
Part A – Hospital Coverage
Covers inpatient hospital care, hospice, and some skilled nursing services.
Part B – Medical Coverage
Helps pay for outpatient care, doctor visits, lab tests, and preventive services.
Part C – Medicare Advantage
All-in-one plans from private carriers that combine Part A & B—often with dental, vision, hearing, and more.
Part D – Prescription Drug Coverage
Helps cover the cost of generic and brand-name prescriptions.
Tip:
Missing Part D can lead to lifetime penalties. We’ll help you avoid that.
Medigap (Supplement Plans)
Fills the “gaps” in Original Medicare, covering deductibles, co-pays, and other out-of-pocket expenses.

When is the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)?
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 7th to December 15th each year. During this time, you can review your current coverage, make changes to your Medicare Advantage or Part D prescription plans, or switch between plans to better fit your needs for the upcoming year.
When should I apply for Medicare Insurance in NJ?
Your Initial Enrollment Period begins 3 months before your 65th birthday and lasts 7 months. Enrolling early helps avoid delays in coverage. BEW can help walk you through every step.
What’s the difference between Medigap and Medicare Advantage?
Medigap (aka Medicare Supplement) works with Original Medicare to reduce out-of-pocket costs. Medicare Advantage (Part C) replaces Original Medicare with an all-in-one plan that may include dental, vision, and hearing.
Can I switch Medicare plans later?
Yes! During the Annual Enrollment Period (Oct 15–Dec 7), you can change your Medicare Advantage or Part D plans. You may also qualify for a Special Enrollment Period if you retire, move, or lose group coverage.
What if I already have coverage through an employer or union?
We’ll help compare your group plan with Medicare options to ensure you get the best coverage without overpaying.
